- Measuring and Detecting Fast-Flux Service Networks, a research paper on fastflux by Thorsten Holz and friends.
- SSAC Advisory on Fast Flux Hosting and DNS: An Advisory from the ICANN, which outlines the fastflux problem and the role of registrars and ICANN in the process. I was interviewed about this report, too, in Dark Reading.
- Exploiting Live Virtual Machine Migration, by Jon Oberheide. Jon used to be an intern here, and is very bright.
DNS registrars have to put restricted policies in the face of users, which prevent rapid record changes that will slow down Fast-flux and give more time to discover and stop the Botnet.
